Hello, I own the model G634JZ - SCAR 16 with Nebula HDR MiniLED screen and Dolby vision support.
I reinstalled Windows this week and can't enable Dolby vision anymore. In the Dolby access app, Dolby atmos is enabled but for dolby vision, it asks me to install the 'dolby vision extensions' app from microsoft store.
When I click 'Install' it opens microsoft store and opens a page for the extensions app, but there I get an error roughly translated to: 'This app won't run on your device'.
Under system requirements on the right, everything is green but I still get the error and it won't let me install the extension. I have searched for a solution like bypassing the requirement check or downloading from elsewhere but couldn't find any help.
For more context: When I first bought the laptop (freedos) I had trouble enabling Dolby vision due to armoury crate not installing the color profiles in freedos laptops. However after finding the profiles from another user with the same model, I was able to get the dolby access app to recognize the license and was able to enable dolby vision after installing 'dolby vision extensions' and 'HEVC codec' apps from the microsoft store.
After the reinstall, armoury crate surprisingly installed the correct color profiles under Win32/spool/drivers/color, but this time I can't install the dolby vision extensions app. In fact, I can't view the extensions app when I search for it manually in the microsoft store, only when the access app links me there.
Things I have tried:
-Reinstalling the color profiles I backed up before the format
-Installing the HEVC codec
-Reinstalling dolby access app
I will also write to dolby support and microsoft feedback, but if anyone here can help me I'd appreciate it.
