Brand new ROG Strix 18 5090, micro stuttering.

I received my Strix 18 5090 laptop one week ago, straight out of the box I noticed micro stuttering but didn't think anything off it.

I then noticed a coil squeel when working in solidworks, I tried reading about it and decided to test with Cyberpunk 2077 to see if the squeel would increase and to my horror discovered the laptop stuttering every few seconds. MrEmo_0-1759781458449.png

Started searching and came over this issue that a lot of people are suffering from. https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUSROG/comments/1nivf1v/asus_gaming_laptops_have_been_broken_since_2021_a/...

I don't know what to do. The laptop is only 1 week old and I am thinking I should just return it and get something else.

@MrEmo

May I ask if both your BIOS and system versions have been updated to the latest?

Yes, both are of the latest date.

May I know the exact laptop model you are using?
[Windows 11/10] How to check the model name and BIOS version
Additionally, please provide the current BIOS version, system version, OS build, and a video showing the lag issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

G835LX.327  I am running windows 11, this started right out of the box. Updated all drivers etc etc. The stuttering is exactly the same as other people describe it.  I don't have a video atm.

I did the "fix" that was posted in a nother thread here for USB faults and it seems to be stable so I am uncertain if I want to revert the settings back in case the problem appears again.

The solution I've tried and so far all my issues are gone:
- I disabled NVIDIA Optimus by enabling Advanced Optimus as described in this link https://rog.asus.com/us/articles/rog-gaming-laptops/maximize-your-rog-laptops-performance-with-a-mux...
- the overall laptop stability so far holds up (still too early to tell)

In short, all you have to do is enable this in NVIDIA Control Panel:

 and then make sure Armoury Crate GPU Performance mode is set to:

- do a OS reboot just to be sure and fingers crossed

WARNING: make sure you're using the latest Armoury Crate version and that all your drivers (especially NVIDIA) are up-to-date

@MrEmo
BIOS 327 has already undergone relevant optimizations, and based on the screenshot, the current values are still within a reasonable range.
May I ask if you have encountered FPS drops or input lag when performing operations such as gaming?
If you have, I have sent you a message, please check your inbox.
Thank you.

Yes. Well the first thing I did was update to 327 and testing and usage of pc started after that.

On cyberpunk the stuttering was every 3-5 seconds, just a minor stutter for  a brief moment maybe 0.25 sec. I also had dropouts of usb mouse and problems with bluetooth headset dropping out.

I will try to revert the changes I posted earlier and see if I the problems reappear.
