Hello all, I am having trouble with my Asus Tuf F15 FX506LH_TUF506LH laptop and the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless LAN Card.
Regularly, and especially after moving around either the house or out and about with the laptop in my bag, the wifi will dissapear from my laptop and I will be presented with the message "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer... (Code 45)”
Things I have tried to get the wifi to reappear to my laptop:
Press power button for 60 seconds and restart laptop
Restart and return BIOS to default settings
Uninstall and Reinstall MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 and roll back the drivers to previous versions
Run all the windows network troubleshooters
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip rest
Network reset on windows settings
Install alternate drivers from MYASUS
Started WLAN Autoconfig service
None of these provided me with a soloution so i decided to open up the laptop, take out the SSD and wifi card, clean the area and replace. This restored the functionality for about a week, but slowly started to dissapear again now i am back to where i started.
I belive there is a hardware issue as the problem occours when I physically move the laptop around, so am considering either replacing the wifi card or replacing it with the intel AX210 wifi 6E adapter.
Is there anything else I could try, or do I need to replace the part?
I am torn between taking my laptop to a technician to have a look or just replace the wifi card, any help would be appreciated!

Same issue here, wi-fi will be on when I turn my laptop on then in 5-10 minutes it disappears, to bring it back I have to uninstall wi-fi adapter from device manager and restart, but the same repeats again.

It seems to be a manufacturing fault or a bug in the driver that conflicts. I've also been facing this issue for the last 2 months and forced to use an external wifi adapter instead of fighting this issue.

guys its because of the movement or the losening of the solder due to heating up of laptop. I have a tuf F15 i5 10th gen Gtx 1650 as well, and ive been facing this for a long time, either the settings of the wifi card has been set to turn off to save battery is turned on, else it is because of the losening of the wifi card. i talked to asus support and service center. they adviced to replace the Wifi LAN card, or change the faulty motherboard. this is very expensive to do. but i recommend to replace the wifi card only.

Hi @jack_heggiz ,
I am sorry to hear about your experience.
Since we are not certain about the specific model everyone is using, regarding the WiFi issue, we recommend that you uninstall the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers in the Device Manager and then install the latest versions available on the official website. Please, while the device is turned off, remove all external devices and the power source, press and hold the power button for 40 seconds to perform an EC reset, then reconnect the power and turn on the device to see if there is any improvement.
If the issue persists after performing the above steps, we suggest sending your laptop to the local service center for further hardware diagnostics to identify the problem. Thank you.
