Asus TUF A15 2023 (FA507NV) CPU temperature

I recently bought a new laptop Asus TUF A15 that comes with AMD 7735HS and RTX 4060. During gaming GPU runs up to 70c that is fine, but CPU temperature goes above 80c-85c, I wonder if this temperature is normal for this type of laptop, also I would be glad if someone helps me to reduce CPU temperature somehow.

Hi @User075 ,

When the system is engaged in high-performance operations such as gaming, video editing, file conversion, or extensive data processing, the temperatures of the CPU/GPU tend to rise. According to the temperatures you mentioned, they generally fall within an acceptable range. If you wish to further reduce the temperatures, here are some suggestions for your reference:

  1. Laptop Cooling Pad:
Choosing a cooling pad that suits your needs can improve airflow around the laptop, aiding in cooling both the CPU and GPU.
  2. Elevate the Laptop:
Ensure that the laptop is placed on a flat and hard surface to facilitate better air circulation. Avoid using it on soft surfaces like beds or sofas to prevent blocking ventilation.

We recommend monitoring whether the temperatures decrease after finishing gaming. If you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to let us know, thank you.

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.

I was able to reduce both cpu and gpu temperatures by using several ways. First of all I run all of my games on turbo mod and set them to max 60 fps, also I decrease cpu maximum power state from 100% to 80%, so I wonder if any of this could be harmful for laptop's hardware.

How did you drop cpu power? Where you found an option to do so?

I didn't undervolt cpu if you are meaning that, Could you tell me about your particular problem ?
