Asus service center seems to have damaged my motherboard

Hello all, 

 

I purchased an ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 on April 2023 and the screen got damaged recently.

I sent in to the Asus service center in USA and they have sent me a quotation stating that the motherboard is damaged and are quoting $2100 for the repair which is more than the cost of the laptop.

 

When I sent it, the laptop was functioning normally barring the screen being damaged.

The service center claims that the motherboard is damaged.

 

I have also got the laptop diagnosed in India where I reside prior to sending it to USA and they confirmed that only the screen is damaged.

Anyone can help resolve this?

Paying for a mistaken diagnosis or worse Asus error is off the table for me.
