I recently purchased a ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 and to be honest I am not impressed. I don't use my gaming laptop for graphically demanding games and reading the spec of the Zephyrus G16, it should be more than adequate for my needs - I only really play a 15 year old RTS game, which should be a walk in the park for a laptop with this level of hardware.
However, sadly, all I seem to get is a CPU running between 90 - 100°C and lag, this is with optimisation and tweaks such as amending Windows 'Process Power Management' settings, reducing the graphics level in the game and using a cooling mat etc.
I'm very angry and seriously considering returning this waste of money, as there is either a build issue with this specific laptop, or the entire range is simply rubbish. For £2.5k, the performance is utterly shocking - stay clear anyone considering purchasing a ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16.
