ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025) G835LX problems

Hi friends in misfortune and support guys

Having ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025) G835LX about 1 month

I realize that buying NB on start not so good idea but I didn't realize that it might be so bad

So, my list of problems:

1. Often loosing all USB devices and Wi-Fi card when having high load (Witcher 3 Next-Gen, for example)

2. Also when having high load on nVidia GPU and using any USB Audio devices (in my case it's ASUS ROG Delta S Animate and USB DAC FiiO KA17 + Campfire Audio Andromeda) hearing clicks and interferences. When load is not so high - problem not occuring. Already have some conversation with regional support and global support. Useless Global support said that it's problem of audio devices. Yeah, sure, two devices from different vendors and  still unstable new platform. Very professional conslusion.

3. After updating BIOS to 318 (I hopped that can solve at least part of my problems, how stupid was I)

Having massive stutters in games, but oftenly games only crushing. And obviously I can't to downgrade to 315.

@cell64
Could you please let me know how long you have been playing the game before encountering the issue where USB devices and the wireless network card disappear?
Could you also provide a picture of the laptop connected to external devices so that the relevant department can verify the connection method?
Additionally, please provide the system version, OS build version, and audio driver version currently being used on the laptop.
After the issue occurs, please use the AsLogDumptool to capture system logs. This will help our technical team analyze the problem as quickly as possible.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

我也有這問題..近期想送修又怕白跑一趟..很多吃GPU的3D運算軟體很會熱當..

1. It's appearing randomly, but only when gaming (or highly loading dGPU).

I've managed to catch the moment and collected logs right after I've loosed my USB devices and after 2-3 seconds came back
Link below:

2. Oh, that's case really making me sick. With this case connected 3 tickets where regional and global support behaves unprofessionally

First, ticket №E250500000081-0002 where "anykey" guy Sergey N from regional support (Russia/Kazakhstan) forcing me to reinstall windows (what the heck dude? my grandma knows how to properly install windows even with iRST driver)

Okay, reinstalled, tested again - obviously, no result

Second ticket - №E250500000081-0005. I've recorded video where I'm showing my laptop with fresh installed Windows, drivers only from MyAsus App, without any external device (except wireless mouse Logitech G703) and where I sequentially shows my connected audio devices and when heavly loading nVidia GPU (Furmark and Doom The Dark Ages)  -  clicks and interferences hearing from earphones

Link to video is below, it's available for everyone, you may take a look:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E4OLbb3HcaTG9JLZrqw-e_pSkyAdRjV1/view?usp=drive_link

After that the same guy Sergey telling me to wait 3-5 days for response from ASUS

3rd ticket (created not by me, I assume it's created by Sergey, L1 anykey guy) №E250500000081-0009 where after couple of questions and waiting about a week - global support telling me that it's my audio devices fault, notebook have no issues. How they concluded it? Guessed on coffee grounds?

So, I was not agreed with support conclusion and offered them to think about it one more time. And still waiting for response, already about week passed

For now I can only use my Campfire Audio Andromeda IEMs connected to 3.5mm audio socket

About my SW - Windows 11 Home 24H2, build 26100.4061, BIOS v318, audio driver version 6.0.9794.1

But just in case, when using Asus ROG Delta S Animate or FiiO KA17 via USB-C which having own DACs - it's no matter which version of Realtek audio driver

3. About massive stutters and game crashing
On BIOS v315 it was normal, not so good, not so bad
After updating to v318 - Witcher 3 Next-Gen crushing 2 of 3 times launching games and when I'm manage to launch game without crashing - start stutters about several minutes, then disappearing, then appearing again. I've already tried to reinstall nvidia drivers - no luck
With Cyberpunk 2077 almost same story except stutters.
In changelog of v318 bios update says Update improves system stability and user experience. So, what improves? What system stability on 5k$ notebook?

I have simular issues with my G835LX, not problems with USB (so far), but game crashing especially, when you are on "ULTIMATE" mode, means only dGPU. How I "solved" this problem - presently keeping ht efoolowing graphic card sriver  - 32.0.15.7283 from ASUS. Keeping GPU mode only in "OPTIMUS" - yes I know like this you are losing G-SYNC, but this is the only option to enjoy your games for the moment. Problem is GLOBAl, not only with ASUS laptops, but with drivers provided from NVIDIA. WE have to wait for better driver versions. Like other downside is also, that youcannot get full performanced from dGPU - max what I got is arond 150-155W and that is on manual mode, where dynamic boost is also engaged. Hope this will help you at least to play your games.

Hi,

this is not the same problem than the one we got.
I didn't have the issue you're mentionning, so far.

But thanks for the intels.
