The problem:
Random total system freezes in Counter-Strike 2 (grey/white screen, no response, forced reboot required). Errors in Event Viewer/Reliability Monitor: LiveKernelEvent Code 117 (initially), later Code 141 (TDR hardware hang). Not sure if it happens with other games.
Stress Testing (All Passed Clean):
What I've Tried (All Suggested/Fixed Temporarily, But Issue Returns):
The laptop performs amazingly when stable (high FPS, cool temps), but these intermittent crashes make it unreliable for gaming—especially frustrating on a €4,186 premium machine that's only a few weeks old. Is this a known driver/MUX/power quirk on 2025 Scar 18 RTX 5090 models? Any official fixes, BIOS updates, or RMA advice?
Please thanks!

Hey Falcon,
Can we get any official statement from Asus regarding this problem since I am not the only one who has those problems?
That's really frustrating that Asus don't comes up with official updates regarding this problem.
I have bought this the G835LX after I had really good experience with their previous laptop ASUS ROG Strix G17 G712LV-H7007T which was absolutely perfect - 0 problems. I had this laptop for almost 5 years and I didn't even formatted it lol.
But this G835LX is completely disappointing.
You pay for premium laptop to get premium crashes while playing. thats crazy.

Since the graphics driver you’re using is not the validated version provided on our website, we recommend using DDU to uninstall the graphics driver, then installing the driver available on our website and checking whether the issue improves.

I have the same problem: the screen turned gray. If you look closely at the photo, you'll also notice vertical dotted blue lines. The computer rebooted itself. I adjusted something, and now it goes gray for 10 seconds and then returns to normal. This rarely happens in games; it's usually just the browser and a couple of other background programs that don't put as much strain on the system as games. I did what you wrote, but it didn't help.
