Asus ROG Strix G614JIR Temperature and Clcok Watchdog Timeout

I purchased the ROG Strix G16 in April 2024. Recently, I have started to have multiple Clock Watchdog Timeout crashes, where the laptop just freezes and I have to restart completely.

I am currently running in Silent mode with minimal processes open. Armoury crate reports my CPU temperature around 82 C. Below is a screenshot of my HwiNFO results. I updated the BIOS as well as installed all system updates. Should I be concerned with these temperature results?

If you continue to experience Watchdog Timeout blue screens, it may be related to insufficient cooling performance or power management issues.

We recommend switching the Armoury Crate mode from Silent to Balanced or Performance to see if this improves the situation.

You may also refer to the following FAQ to clean the fans and check the cooling status of your laptop.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

I changed to performance mode and cleaned my fans as well as applied new thermal paste. My idle temperature seems to have dropped to around 60 C, however, when using chrome/watching YouTube, I am still experiencing spikes of over 90 C. Is this normal? These are my temperatures from a largely idle 2-hour period with some YouTube/Chrome browsing.

On high-performance laptops such as the ROG Strix G16, the temperatures observed are within the normal range.
