hey,
I purchased this laptop on 29 of april, 2024. From the moment i have the laptop, he keeps restarting on random moments.
It doesn't matter what i'm doing, gaming, youtube, internet, ... it just restarts the whole laptop.
I've read on this forum somebody else had this issue to, and his solution was to re-install armoury crate. I have tryed that, but keeps restarting. Anybody else have a solution please? Cause i payed a lot of money for this laptop and i would like to see it fixed.
Thanks!

Hi @laui ,
Could you please share the current BIOS version and the versions of the iGPU/dGPU drivers you are using?
Additionally, have you installed or replaced the SSD/RAM? If so, please try testing with the original hardware configuration to see if that improves the situation. Also, please run a hardware diagnostic through MyASUS to check for any abnormalities. Thank you.

Hi @laui ,
Please try updating according to MyASUS's recommendations and test with the ASUS-verified AMD graphics driver version V31.0.14038.8002 and NVIDIA graphics driver version V31.0.15.3645 to see if there is any improvement. Thank you.

until now i have no random restarts anymore, but these drivers u gave me are outdated drivers. Does this mean i can't install other drivers?
When I am gaming, i get the message i play on outdated drivers.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to confirm which games are displaying these warnings, and after closing the warnings, are the games able to run normally? Thank you.

Hi everyone!
I want to share my own experience with this issue.
Two weeks ago, I bought an Asus Rog Strix G733PYV RTX 4090 machine for $4200. The problem started on the second day, where it would randomly restart. I began monitoring the temperature of the machine in Armoury Crate, but it wasn't under heavy use at all, and it even restarted while idle.
Then I started browsing Reddit and the Asus forums, where they suggested that the issue might be with Armoury Crate, and recommended using GHelper instead. I installed it, but it bothered me that I had to resort to such solutions on a two-day-old machine, especially one this expensive, so I contacted Asus Support. They advised me not to use GHelper because it's not an official program, which I completely understood. They sent me an installer for Armoury Crate and Aura Creator, which was indeed different from the one available on the Microsoft Store.
I tested the machine all day and thought I had solved the problem, but unfortunately, it restarted again. At this point, I felt a bit discouraged and was about to return the machine, but I decided to search online one last time. That's when I saw someone suggesting turning off Fast Boot.
Go to: Settings -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> On the left side, choose "What the power buttons do" -> In Shutdown settings, uncheck "Turn off fast startup."
Additionally, I disabled the Fast Boot option in the BIOS as well. I've been testing it for a week now, and no issues have surfaced. It's very likely that this was the problem.
I hope this helps someone, as I only found the solution by a stroke of luck.
Happy gaming!

Bad news, after 2 weeks the restart issue unfortunately reappeared, so turning off Fast Boot didn't solve the problem, although it’s strange to me that after turning it off, everything was fine for 2 weeks. The restart happened while browsing, about 10 minutes after playing a game. Unfortunately, I have no more ideas, so I’ll have to send my new computer to service
I’m sorry I couldn’t provide a solution for you guys 😞 I really hope they can fix it at the service and that it won't be a case of them sending it back with the excuse that they didn’t find anything.
