Hi everyone
I have recently purchased an ASUS ROG Strix G16 G614JVR-N4080. It comes with a 1TB SSD. Since I want to use it for music production I need a lot more storage space for sample libraries, and I have several questions.
The first question is, can the laptop support 4TB SSDs? I called a laptop service company in my country and they said 2TB is the limit per slot. If that's the case that's a real deal breaker for me.
My second question is, IF the laptop can support 4TB SSDs, what should I look out for when buying a SSD? For example: the maximum thickness of the SSD, whether it has a heatsink or not, is it double-sided or single-sided?
I was thinking of buying the WD BLACK SN850X, is that a good choice?
Please, someone give me a definitive answer regarding the first question. Thank you

Hello erikkecse
The service company in your country is correct.
Each slot supports a maximum of 2TB ssd's.

Where does this information come from, that the maximum is 2TB per slot? And why would that be the case? Please explain

Checking the Crucial site for ssd upgrades, they show a 4TB ssd as an upgrade option.
Click compatible ssd, it's the 4th ssd in the list.
