Hey ROG forum, I'm running into some issues regarding my G15.
First off, some very VERY important information:
-- Windows doesn't start
-- Linux doesn't start
Do not even start about drivers, neither linux nor windows works.
-- UEFI BIOS is working
During startup, both Linux as Windows will hang randomly.
Sometimes during the initialisation of file system, other times when starting services (Linux boot process is verbose)
I've been able to rule out both RAM and SSD as the culprits, as over time I've upgraded both of these components, and with the original parts, the same issue occurs.
A power reset does not resolve the issue.
From further troubleshooting, like by watching the verbose booting of linux, it throws up a lot of errors around the CPU.
Other users on the forum have reported this issue before, such as in this thread, in which another user pointed out it may be related to fTPM, which is a function that isn't togglable on the laptop BIOSes, however he received a beta version with it disabled, and reports remediation of the issue.
Is there any way to get this version of the BIOS?
I would really love to repair this laptop, it was a great machine, and even though I've since replaced it with a G17, It's a shame my smaller daily driver has decided to give up the ghost.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Based on your description, the issue you’re experiencing — random system hangs during the boot process of both Linux and Windows — appears to be different from the one discussed in the thread you referenced. That thread mainly involves users encountering minor stutters (a few seconds of delay) under light system load, which seems to be a separate issue.
Since you've observed multiple CPU-related error messages during your troubleshooting, we recommend bringing your device to a local service center for further hardware diagnostics to help identify the root cause.
Thank you for your understanding.
