Hi everyone!
I want to share my own experience with this issue.
Two weeks ago, I bought an Asus Rog Strix G733PYV RTX 4090 machine for $4200. The problem started on the second day, where it would randomly restart. I began monitoring the temperature of the machine in Armoury Crate, but it wasn't under heavy use at all, and it even restarted while idle.
Then I started browsing Reddit and the Asus forums, where they suggested that the issue might be with Armoury Crate, and recommended using GHelper instead. I installed it, but it bothered me that I had to resort to such solutions on a two-day-old machine, especially one this expensive, so I contacted Asus Support. They advised me not to use GHelper because it's not an official program, which I completely understood. They sent me an installer for Armoury Crate and Aura Creator, which was indeed different from the one available on the Microsoft Store.
I tested the machine all day and thought I had solved the problem, but unfortunately, it restarted again. At this point, I felt a bit discouraged and was about to return the machine, but I decided to search online one last time. That's when I saw someone suggesting turning off Fast Boot.
Go to: Settings -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> On the left side, choose "What the power buttons do" -> In Shutdown settings, uncheck "Turn off fast startup."
Additionally, I disabled the Fast Boot option in the BIOS as well. I've been testing it for a week now, and no issues have surfaced. It's very likely that this was the problem.
I hope this helps someone, as I only found the solution by a stroke of luck.
Happy gaming!
UPDATE:
Unfortunately, none of the attempts mentioned have provided a solution, and my laptop is now in the ASUS service center for the third time.
In Hungary, according to warranty rules, only after three repairs can you request a replacement device or a refund. There’s also a 14-day period when a customer can return a product without any justification. I missed that window because I thought I had fixed the issue. That was my biggest mistake.
So, during the first service visit, they didn’t do anything; they tested it for an hour and sent it back, claiming they didn’t find any issues. Of course, a few days later, it started randomly restarting again. I tried to find the error myself but ended up sending it back. This time, they finally dealt with it for a longer period. It stayed in the service center for two weeks, and they supposedly found the problem, replacing the motherboard.
I thought this nightmare was finally over since I essentially received a “new” laptop. I only turned it on three times in a week because I didn’t have much time to use it, but on the third day, after about four hours of gaming, it restarted again. I couldn’t believe it because, in theory, the whole machine had been replaced. So yesterday, I sent it back to the service center for the third time. I don’t know what else can be done with it. It’s possible that the replacement motherboard is also faulty, and this is a series defect.
I don’t want to speak against ASUS, but how could I ever consider buying another ASUS laptop or product? They left me to deal with this incredibly expensive laptop, making me endure this process, and nearly three months have passed without being able to properly use my costly laptop. It’s a disgrace.

have you tried to uninstall AMD Software?
I also had a similar problem. After uninstalling it, there is no random restart issue anymore. Here's the tutorial if you want to try: https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/RS-UNINSTALL.html

Bought G733PYV on February this year and had the same problem you are struggling now. Had multiple restarts during months till Laptop SSD finally broke down (dissaperead from BIOS). After replacement SSD in service (that did'n help) I browsed the web once againt and found this Reddit thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUSROG/comments/15pi918/asus_rog_strix_scar_17_2023_randomly_restarts/. A guy recommended to remove all ASUS software and replace it with GHelper. So I removed Armory Crate and MyAsus but did'n install GHelper. For now it's about 6 months I haven't had any strange reboots

Hello!
Thanks for your reply!
Yes, I also read about GHelper and wanted to install it, but I thought that with a two-week-old machine, I shouldn’t have to make such compromises.
Anbby_ROG sent me a private message and provided NVIDIA and Radeon drivers.
So far, I’ve only used the machine for a few hours since the third servicing, and it hasn’t restarted.
If it restarts, I’ll try those drivers.
If it doesn’t restart now, then maybe we’ve found the problem. Until now, I’ve always downloaded Geforce Experience or the NVIDIA App and kept the Gaming Driver up to date. Maybe that’s the issue. I’ve realized that this is a very sensitive matter and only works with the driver provided by ASUS. It’s crazy that if this is indeed the fault, it causes random restarts, but if that’s all it is, then we’re good.
If not, then I don’t know what else can be done. I’m not going to use GHelper. It’s so frustrating that with such an expensive machine, you have to forgo the manufacturer’s software, and even the service center couldn’t figure this out…
Thanks for the responses!

Hi Everyone!
It’s been more than a month since the last service, and no issues have occurred since then. I can confidently say that the problem has been resolved, and I now know what caused it.
So far, I’ve always installed GeForce Experience and after discontinued, the Nvidia App. Through these, I always downloaded the latest Nvidia driver, thinking this was the right approach. I didn’t have any issues with my previous Asus laptop…
But with this one, I did. This time, I decided not to install GeForce Experience and used only the driver provided by Asus without any additional updates. I’ve only relied on Windows Update, Microsoft Store updates, MyAsus updates, and Armoury Crate updates.
It’s been a month now without any issues, so it’s safe to say that the problem was indeed with the driver. This means it’s best to stick to the Asus driver and avoid Nvidia’s app when it comes to laptops.
The only strange thing is why users are left to figure this out on their own and why the service center replaced the motherboard instead, but that’s their problem! 😄
I hope this solution helps others as well. Fortunately, it’s a simple and compromise-free solution, and there’s no need to replace Armoury Crate with GHelper either.

Hi, I got a Strix G17PV just last year and have the same restart issue as you have described. Similar to you, I got various information about it caused by Armoury Crate and installed GHelper, which did not helped. I also tried various suggestions hoping something hits and resolved the issue, such as CMD: sfc /scannow and integrity check.
The changing points comes a few months back where I installed Driver Booster. Driver Booster identified that my default AMD Driver was incompatible and suggested another version. To install the recommended version, I have to uninstall existing AMD Adrenaline and accompanying driver (basically uninstall AMD Software using AMD Cleanup Utility), then install the recommended one. This works for me.
Lately, I have to reset my PC due to possible corruption and the AMD driver was reset to the original one. The restart issue came back. So, now I uninstalled AMD Software entirely and currently relying on NVidia alone. See if it helps. I notice this issue have been around for recent couple of years but no one had effective solution to it. It was thanks to Driver Booster, that I had a glimpse of the issue.
