Okay, so i have the Asus ROG G16 with the i9-13980hx and the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, for some reason while i play Black Myth: Wukong it just shuts down. Sometimes after 2 hours sometimes after 2 mins is completely random and I don't understand why its happening. I've played other Single player games on max settings and never had a problem. Games like RDR2, GoW, GoW Ragnarök, Ghost of Tsushima, GTA V, etc. Even fps games on high settings don't cause a problem. This shutdown error seems to be localized to Black Myth: Wukong. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Is it shutting down like signs you off or shutting down like someone pulled the plug on a desktop pc. If its the second I think I have got the same issue with my GU605MY. Also while under load but in multiple games like Beyond All Reason or CS2

Hi @relief-melone ,
Based on your description, it seems that your issue is somewhat different from the original poster's problem. You mentioned that the issue occurs in many games. I would like to confirm whether you have updated the BIOS to the latest version and tested using the display driver version verified by Asus. Thank you.

Like someone pulls the plug. Just shuts off no shut down screen, just straight turns off.

Hi @Krixh_4587 ,
You mentioned that the shutdowns only occur in Black Myth: Wukong, and we are unsure if it's caused by the game's optimization settings. Could you please provide a video or photos of your game settings for us to further confirm? Additionally, please provide the following information, as it will help us clarify the issue further. Thank you.

I bought the laptop in 2023 June or July can't exactly remember when. Last year in december i started having blue screen errors constantly. I sent it in for service and got it fixed, the problem they found was with the motherboard and the battery. not with the ram or ssd.

I am having the same issue with video editing and some games ..the laptop just shuts off completely or sometimes just quits out of a game to the desktop...Upon checking with hwinfo i notices all cores were being overvolted and the violtage on vid was 1.6 volts and high temps ..There are many reports of 13th and 14th gen laptop cpu crashing just like the desktop 13th and 14th gen cpu are failing.. I suspect in my case i have a degraded cpu and asus have offerd zero support

@Krixh_4587 sounds exactly like my issue
I am by now pretty sure that the issue is hardware related. The issue occurs exactly in the same manner windows and linux alike. As there is not the slightest info kernel or event logs a driver issue can also be ruled out with a pretty high certainty. I'd suspect an issue with power delivery. Similar or same as reported here https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-notebooks/zephyrus-g16-2024-shutting-down-when-under-load/td-p/.... Also on the line with asus but I guess it will result in me having to send in the device. Unfortunately I will have to wait for a few weeks until I can go without my unit for some time. Will keep you updated if/what has been fixed

Just throwing this out there as i to am having this issue..13th and 14th gen laptop cpu are crashing just like the desktop cpu ..just search you will find the reports..Asus will not aknowledge these cpu have issues and wont even tell you if your particular cpu is running within spec ?..Ill let you draw your own conclusions why they dont offer any support.
