Armoury Crate HIgh CPU Usage when switching to Eco Mode

Hello, for the past 2-3 month I've noticed an isssue with Armoury Crate. I have it set in the optimized setting so when  I unplug the laptop it switched automatically to Eco Mode, but when that happens the CPU ussage of Armoury Crate start increasing to 15-20% out of nowere and remains there until I restart the Armoury Crate service manually. Linked to this problem I have noticed that if I shut down the laptop, runing on battery, with the optimized setting set so it would be with the external graphincs completly off and then I turn it on pluged in it dosen't automatically switch on the external graphics card and I have to set in Armoury Crate the "Standar" setting to use it.

I have an Asus Rog Zephyrus Duo 16, model GX650RS.

Thank you!

Hi @Supermelonazo66 ,

I would like to confirm if you have updated your BIOS to the latest version 319. Additionally, please try using the uninstall tool to remove Armoury Crate and reinstall it to see if it improves the issue.
If you set the GPU to Eco Mode in Armoury Crate, it will disable the dedicated graphics card. If you want to enable the dedicated graphics card, you need to set the GPU to Standard Mode. Please refer to this link for more information. Thank you.

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.

Hi, I can confirm that my bios version is 319 and I've reinstalled Armoury Crate with the uninstall tool and the installer but the high cpu usage still there when I switch from standard to eco mode. An the other problem with the discrete graphics is that for example when I set in Armoury Crate the "Optimized" setting, so that it disables or enables the discrete graphics if im using the battery or not, it dosen't work as intended. When i shut down the laptop when I'm on battery with the "Optimized" setting set (so that the dedicaed graphics card is disabled) and then turn on the laptop connected to power it should enable the dedicated graphics but thats not the case and it remains disabled, even when the laptop is pluged in and the "optimized" setting is selected.

Hi @Supermelonazo66 ,

I have the same problem.

2022 Zephyrus G15 RTX 3060 GA503RM

no external display

moar ram and ssd

see attached vijeo

I cannot send you an encrypted log that I cannot inspect what it is I'm sending.

EDIT: I uninstalled AC and reinstalled with the links provided above and the issue persists.

Yes it lasts longer than 5-10 minutes.  Which is how I initially noticed.  When unplugging the laptop it automatically goes to Eco mode.  After using the device unplugged I noticed it was unusually warm for what little I was doing, and the battery life was only one hour when I discovered this.

It will use CPU until it goes back into Optimized mode or those processes killed manually.

I just now tested again, and let it run for 5 minutes and it never stopped.

Quick update: I've talked via private messages and the problem is linked to the nvidia drivers not the Armourcy Crate software. I've switched to the studio drivers from nvidia and the high CPU usage disapeared.

I uninstalled Armoury Crate and am using G-Helper with the same gaming drivers as I had before and it works flawlessly.  So it seems updated NVidia drivers have some change that Armoury Crate hasn't updated for yet.
