After Changing Thermal paste GPU temp increase

My laptop (Asus TUF15 i7 12th gen 4060) had a dirty fan with dust in it, and I wanted to clean it. I also thought it was a good idea to change the thermal paste since the temperatures were high. So, I called the Asus service center and booked an onsite service. However, after the technician came and changed the thermal paste, my GPU temperature increased by 10 to 15°C, while the CPU temperature dropped by 10°C. Additionally, my keyboard started vibrating so much that I could feel it while playing games.

I called them again, and a new technician came to clean the laptop and apply new thermal paste, but there was no change in temperature. In fact, after changing it again, the CPU temperature also increased. So, I went to the service center for repair, but there was still no improvement. The only good thing was that the keyboard was vibrating less, but the GPU temperature remained very high—it starts at 85°C and goes up to 92°C. I even changed the fans, but nothing is working. The service center told me the temperatures were fine and that I shouldn't worry since everything under 100°C is acceptable, and they returned the laptop to me. Previously, both the CPU and GPU temperatures were at a maximum of 75°C, but now the CPU is at 60-65°C and the GPU is at 85-92°C. Any idea what I should do?

After contacting the ASUS service center again, they sent a technician to check the laptop. The technician found excessive thermal paste, so he cleaned it and reapplied it. Now, it's working fine. I also received an email and a call from the QA Executive of the Service Department (SQM) at ASUS Technology Pvt Ltd, who confirmed the same issue. Thank you for your help, @Anbby_ROG

Hi @Kage ,

I would like to confirm whether the CPU temperature of 60-65°C and the GPU temperature of 85-92°C you mentioned are observed while idle or during gaming. Please try setting the fan mode to Turbo in Armoury Crate during gaming and check if there are any performance issues. Thank you.

Yes, it happens during gaming. I've already set the mode to turbo, but there's a decrease in performance. My game's FPS is lower than usual. Same game usually had 69C both GPU and cpu but now GPU goes to 89 and cpu 67C
