Maximus Z690 Hero PciE Bus Dopouts on Lan & NVME

Hello again,

i am currently still trying to figure out my initial problem regarding a basically nun usable MAxIMUS Z690 hero platform.

HAVE CROSS TESTED EVERY SINGLE COMPONENT WITH A REPLACEMENT AND THE ERROR STILL OCCURS! (Mobo replaced, Gpu replaced, 4 different manufacturer Nvme cards, PSU)

currently i am guessing the problem occurs from the PCIE BUS.

So this happens:

Having 2 gen4 nvme cards in the gen 4 slots, 2 (1) gen 3 cards in the gen3 slots or the expansion card thst comes with the board, the disks will be seen in windows , but will be unreadable after the first read attempt with an error code. Simultaneously, the onboard LAN card will also stop working.

I have a single 3090 in pciex16 slot one. Same error will occur when gpu is rendering and using the bus.

have tried pretty much everything. Using any other nvme slot other than the first one will reproduce the error. As metioned, i have also tried this with 4 different nvme cards, both simultaniously and sequentially ie only a single one added to the base system configurstion.

i am trying to friggin use the computer for over s yest bit nothing helps...

maybe some hidden setting or secret regsrding this? Also, how can i get asus to give me another mobo if this csnnot be solved?

Does Device Manager in Windows show any device errors or unidentified devices?  One more idea, are your BIOS settings on defaults and have you tried a fresh Windows install? I've had software conflicts create strange symptoms and faults like that can be hard to find, hence a fresh install.

Sorry, I lost the first half of my post - I was saying check all of your drivers versions. Ignore the blue drivers (see my first part-post), those are just the subcomponents. The UCM drivers come bundled with MoKiChU's Thunderbolt drivers. I get all of my drivers from MokiChU on these forums nowadays, they are more up to date than the support pages. The easiest way to check all driver versions is to download Driver Store Explorer, it's free. I'm thinking it's probably drivers as you have swapped out all hardware.

I also asked if MEI drivers, ME firmware, BIOS and chipset, serial IO drivers all installed and up to date as well?

Hello,

yes, tried with all of mokixhu drivers, also with asus drivers. Still the same. In the meantime i have also changed every single piece of the pc at least once and the issue still persists. Now on asus hero z790 and still no solution. I thought. It might be psu and changed that one too....but still the same. Now ordered amd crossrire and hopefully its done.
