GT-AX11000 Firmware Restore Mode Not Working

Hello,

My GT-AX11000 does not load firmware restore. Firmware version is 3.0.0.4.384_6438-g901ff3c

When I powered on the machine and held down reset, the power button started blinking.

Then, I connected an Ethernet cable from the WAN PORT to my computer's Ethernet plug.

However, when I opened Device Discovery, nothing showed up. Firmware Restoration also didn't work.

(Sorry for the inconvenience, my computer is in Chinese.)

My router is working normally. It can also enter Rescue Mode normally.

However, normal firmware uploads don't work through the Web GUI or the app.
I've posted another issue here. https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-network-products/asus-gt-ax11000-firmware-update-not-working/td...

Therefore, I am using Firmware Rescue Mode as a last resort to update the firmware.

But my question is: If  you can't use Firmware Restoration to do the firmware update, when I long-pressed the [Reset] button on my router on bootup, the power light still flashed slowly, indicating it was in Rescue Mode.

In theory, this is supposed to work. I'm curious: why doesn't it?

Thank you for referencing your prior thread on the problem.  (I read it for a clearer picture).

The firmware update process might reboot more than once FYI.  (I hope you didn’t accidentally interrupt it).

From your issue I can suggest things to try:

1.  Turn ON automatic updates and wait overnight.

2.  Try the older version of Firmware Restoration Utility.

3.  You said you tried the ASUS Router app to check for and update?

(My personal order of preference 3, 2, then lastly 1).  Please update what happens…

Did you try Windows Networking Diagnostics?
