GT-AX11000 firmware 3-0-0-4-388-24328-g1e6e access restrictions bug

Disintegrate
Level 7

Same issue as in this now closed thread:
GT-AX11000 firmware to 3.0.0.4.388_24328-g1e6e634 ... - Republic of Gamers Forum - 984194 (asus.com)

I didn't have time to reach out to Asus when the issue initially occurred and the firmware auto updated, but I had to hard reset the router by holding down buttons on it, flash the latest firmware again and reconfigure everything.
The moment when access restrictions are enabled, the same issue occurs.
I've flashed the firmware at least 4 times and the issue is not resolved, the router doesn't perform as before too - wireless connection is more unstable and slower.

Any recommendations?

Hi @Disintegrate ,

Thank you for providing detailed information about the issue you're facing with your GT-AX11000 router. We understand that you're experiencing access restriction issues and performance degradation after the latest firmware update, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  • Check your network environment:
  1. Ensure network cables are securely connected: Try replacing the network cable.
  2. Eliminate interference from other devices: Temporarily turn off other devices that may interfere with the network, such as microwaves or cordless phones.
  • Reconfigure access restrictions:
  1. Double-check the settings: Carefully review your access restriction settings to ensure all rules are correct.
  2. Try simplifying the rules: If the rules are too complex, try simplifying them and gradually adding restrictions.
  • Try a different frequency band: If you're using a dual-band router, try switching to a different frequency band (2.4GHz or 5GHz) to see if it improves performance.
  • Update network card drivers: Ensure that the network card drivers on your computer or mobile device are up-to-date.
  • Restore factory settings (preserving settings): You can try restoring factory settings while preserving your existing settings to avoid reconfiguring everything.

Thank you.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.
