Do not buy Asus routers (No replacements for warranty)

I am tired of off the daily issues with mine Asus BE98-Pro. I called Asus and offered logs, photo, everything. I requested a Advance RMA, they confirmed the issues with Hardware Version 1, there is a version 2 to fix it. So I offered my credit card to get the replacement.

Here is the best part. THEY DONT HAVE ANY REPLACEMENTS. Yes you can buy new ones from their site and store, but no replacements. They said they would offer a comparable, but this is the highest end model. So I have to wait again for someone to contact me. Could be months to get a replacement. So just remember Asus warranty is worthless. $800 paperweight.

EDIT:   After multiple calls I just got my replacement H\W rev 2.0, hopefully no more issues. I paid to overnight it.

I can't really address your concerns, but perhaps they are about to announce a new router.

Other than that, since we are not ASUS employees, could you advise on your basic problem?  I have two and they both work fine.

Trust me, as certified network technician I have done everything. Wiped, then manual setup. No setting file restore. I talked to another person who had Version 1 hardware and he had the same problem with the S24 ultra. Asus gave him a version 2 hardware and zero issues for over a month. Asus confirmed the issue. My problem is why can I buy the router off Asus.com and get it here in two days, but they have ZERO replacements. I was told I would have to wait months to get one. This is a $800 router thats 6 months old and 3 year warranty. No replacements, but they have stock is not ok.

Asus admitted its a hardware defect. There is no more troubleshooting on their end. Its faulty hardware. I am just letting people know, THERE IS NO WARRANTY. You are out of luck. Gamersnexus is right, the days of Asus warranty being good is gone. They dont care, call back in a few months and they might have something (this is what I was told).

OK, I understand.  The offer for us to help is still available.

Maybe a Merlin version of the firmware.

Thank you. I really just want to make sure people dont get screwed on a $800 router. I wish there was a way to fix it, but I was told its hardware. I have owned more then 10 different Asus routers. I just want them to honor the warranty. I dont want a different model, I just want it to work. They could not fix it and saying sorry try again in a month or two is not ok period.

I plan on filing a claim with the Federal Trade Commission. Asus needs to honor their warranties.
