Experiencing the worst case scenario. AX89X user here and my router is shot. Keeps rebooting into red WAN light, even without cable plugged in. My best shot was to leave it off for 8 hours and then I was able to use it for about 10 minutes before that cycle started again.
when I can get 10 minutes of it not rebooting, what should I do on my MacBook to fix this? macOS only, no access to windows.
I wasn’t affected by the firmware issue in May, it seems to have reared its ugly head in June!

May I know the current firmware version of the RT-AX89X?
According to the user manual, if the WAN indicator light is red, it indicates that there is no IP or physical connection, which suggests that your device is not successfully connected to the network.
We recommend following the troubleshooting steps provided in [Troubleshooting] Failed Internet access through router to address the issue.
Additionally, I am unclear about what you mean by being unable to enter Windows. Could you please provide more details?
