Yellow DRAM light

I am new to Asus Motherboards and the 5-10 memory learning. The fans all spin but no display or any other indicator that there is any issue aside from the DRAM light is yellow once I turn on the power.

I have tried:
- Testing the RAM in each slot by itself
- Unplugging all the cables and plugging them back in
- Verified the cables are connected to the MOBO securely
- Let it sit for 20mins ( Do I need to let it sit longer? )
- I inspected the RAM slots for damage and the RAM itself
- Verified no bent pins on the CPU socket
- Holding CMOS reset button
- Plugged USB drive with BIOS on root folder into the FLASH BIOS USB port on the MOBO ( Not sure if there was something I missed here )
- Tried without GPU

MOBO: ROG STRIX B850-A GAMING WIFI
CPU: 9800X3D
RAM: F5-6000J3238G32GX2-TZ5NR
SSD: 990 EVO PLUS
PSU: Corsair RM 850x
AIO: Liquid Freeze III 420
CASE: Lian Li EVO MID
GPU: 1070 ( For testing )

Thanks for confirming. Training should complete successfully using either one or two modules.

I would contact service for your region and initiate an RMA. Alternatively, contact the etailer for a replacement. If you come unstuck, you can contact service representatives here and provide case details

Tonight I tried:
- Reseating the CPU
- Checked for bent PINs ( None )
- Flashback BIOS with latest BIOS
- Pulled CMOS battery instead of just hitting clear CMOS on back
- Checked RAM slots for dirt
- Cleaned RAM sticks
- Tried A2 and B2 solo with stick 1 and then again with stick 2

My next step is sending the board back, does anyone have any suggestions.
Please help, my brain is melting.

Hi @Happy772

20 minutes should be sufficient for that configuration to train. Can I confirm you're using one memory kit, so 2 modules?

Are you using the stock CPU retention mechanism, or are you using a contact frame?

One memory kit with 2 modules.

Update to 1208

Use USBFlashback

1. Rename the BIOS file (A5597.CAP) using BIOSRenamer and copy to a freshly formatted FAT32 USB Pen drive.

2. Insert into the indicated flashback port and press the USB Flashback button on the motherboard's rear I/O panel.

3. Wait for the flashing to stop, the process will take 2-5 minutes.

4. Double-check behaviour, wait 15-20 minutes once again for initial memory training to complete.

Completed step 1, 2 and 3
Currently on step 4

I will update after 20mins, but wanted to let you know I am trying this.

Also for the memory training should I be using 1 or both 32GB modules?
- Currently using both modules in slots A2 and B2

DRAM light is still yellow after 50mins
Also tried 1 module in only the B2 slot for the same time but still receiving the Yellow light on DRAM

Thanks for confirming. Training should complete successfully using either one or two modules.

Thank you for the help, I am sending the board back and hopefully the next one does not have this issue.
