XMP Errors

Hello, first of all I am listing my system features.

CPU: INTEL CORE i7-14700K
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER AERO OC 16G
MB: ASUS ROG STRIX B760-A GAMING WIFI
RM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB 7200MHz 2x24GB
PSU: ASUS ROG STRIX 850W Gold Aura Edition

Even though I bought and used CMP48GX5M2X7200C36W ram, which is on the motherboard compatibility list, my system still causes xmp1, xmp2 and xmp to shut down without any errors, regardless of whether they are tweaked.

When I turn off xmp profiles my system works fine.

EDIT: LMAO! After selecting the xmp1 profile, I fixed the ram frequency to 7000Mhz. For now, I haven't found any errors in synthetic tests. Moving on to long game tests.

Hi @SamwiseGamgee I am glad to hear that your issue is mostly resolved. I recommend that you read https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/technologies-explained/memory-kits-overclocking-and-what-you-may-not-k... post and also watch the YouTube Video in the comment to get a better understanding of XMP Profiles and Memory Speeds.

If your system is stable at 7000 MT/s then with the combination of CPU (basically memory Controller inside your CPU), your motherboard and your memory sticks this will be the best speed you will be able to get.

Enjoy!

Hello, @SamwiseGamgee

Please install the memory modules in the slots recommended in the ROG STRIX B760-A GAMING WIFI user manual.

When testing memory overclocking stability, start by installing a single module in the DIMM_A2 slot and performing the overclocking.
Once stable, install the second module in the DIMM_B2 slot.

Thank you.

By the way, I forgot to mention. I have made all hardware and software updates.

Thank you for your support. After long game tests, I was sure that 7000 MT/s speed is the most stable point.
