Hi all,
Pulling my hair out here.
Upgraded my PC in Feb 2025, went with the X870E Hero MB with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 64gB of Corsair CMH64GXM2B5200C40 memory
I have 3 monitors, All Samsung, LC32G7xT (1440P), C27F591 (1080P), Odyssey G7 (4K)
Have had problems since day one with PC not booting, error 94
Found that if i move around the monitors on the graphics card DP connectors PC starts, if i disconnect some screens it starts.
Weird thing is, the monitor it starts with changes, sometimes it doesn't start with any of the 3
In all cases it's error 94, but IF it starts zero error logs, zero crashes, i plug in all the monitors again and the PC works flawlessly
In the end i used my 4K monitor with HDMI and it seems to start up 90% of the time
Figured it was my 3080Ti graphics card.
Have now upgraded to a 5080...........same problem
I have tried different monitors = same problem
Several different cables from known working PC's = Same problem
Updated bios to 1804 = Same problem
As i zero once started zero problems, was playing Arc Raiders for 6 hours last night, ran perfect
It seems error 94 is somehow linked to my screens, but i've had error 94 on every single one of the 7 monitors i have tried.
I can unplug and replug in a monitor and the PC starts
All graphics card connections are good, i'm lost, please help
How is error 94 linked with monitors, how can a monitor cause this fault?
Cheers
Mark
