I've recently been having a problem with my Asus ROG Crosshair X870E Hero: I can't update my BIOS with Asus EZ Flash in the BIOS. As soon as I start the BIOS update, it crashes. Sometimes I see the progress bar briefly, then shortly after the crash. I've already tried three different USB ports and several USB sticks. It can't be the USB stick, as I've always used those. Now I've performed the latest update using BIOS FlashBack on the designated USB port and pressing the button (holding it for 3 seconds). That worked.
I'm having some bad luck with my motherboard. I'm having problems with the Realtek network port. I've tried all the tips from other users here in the forum. I had brief success, but ultimately I keep getting problems.
Anyway, now I hope someone can help me with the BIOS update problem. I don't want to do an RMA, but I would do it to finally get rid of the problems.

Hi @chrunchinut
Can you confirm this happens at complete defaults?
Make sure not to enable EXPO overclocking, for example.

I would use USB Flashback if this is the only behaviour you see crashing occur. Let us know how you get on.

USB Flashback works. But it us dissappoting. Something is broken on the Mobo.
