X670E-E GAMING + 128GB RAM

OSXelot

Hello everybody!

I know this has been discussed but I cannot find any update on it.

THE SPECS:

Chip: Ryzen 9 7950X3D

Mobo: X670E-E GAMING with Bios V. 2007

GPU: 3090Ti

RAM: 4x32GB Crucial Pro RAM DDR5 5600MHz CP2K32G56C46U5

THE ISSUE:

- If I put 2 slots, the memory is detected at 5600.

- if I put the 4 slots it downgrades to 3600. (Still works great though)

-If I touch the BIOS the computer won't start (error code C5)

THE QUESTION:

- Is there any way to bring those numbers up, at least to 4800 or something like that?

- Does this has to be with the BIOS of my Mobo being outdated? (I try not to update if everything works stable)

You asked if there is a way to get your memory any faster and there is by manual tuning.

I'm curious what the Dram VDD and Dram VDDQ voltages are set at. You can find these in the bios on the Ai Tweaker tab.

If they are set to 1.10v, you have plenty of room as they can safely go up to 1.35v, this should let you go (possibly a good bit) higher with the frequency.

There are other voltages too, the CPU SOC voltage can be set safely to 1.20v.

If you had an Intel motherboard I could help you a little more as I overclock my memory too. I'm not too familiar with AMD settings, but Silent_Scone is, and is one of the best at overclocking memory on Intel and AMD platforms. If he can offer more advice on the voltages that would be great.

So, you could try:

Dram VDD voltage - 1.35v

Dram VDDQ voltage - 1.35v

CPU SOC voltage - 1.20v

Set the Dram Frequency one step higher than 3600MHz.

Hit F10 and Enter to Save and Exit. Should boot to windows no problem.

Then, just raise the Dram Frequency one step at a time until you encounter instability such as freezing or BSOD's, then back down the Dram Frequency a step. Be sure to save each time you change the Dram Frequency.

If you try this, how far does the Dram Frequency let you go?
