Greetings, members of ROG fourm! This is my first post here.
MB: ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING, BIOS VER: 6232, CPU: R5 2400G, RAM: KLEVV 3200Mhz 8Gx2Kit, GPU: MSI RTX 206
When I tried to oc my memory using D.O.C.P to 3200Mhz, it will perform the same when I tried to oc to 2933, the highest rated speed for first gen Zen, will have the debugging LED in white, which is GPU failure, with no screen output, it will otherwise end up in boot cycle in POST, it would only be booting in DOCP and down-clocked to 2733Mhz, tried both the 2400G and its engineering sample, also tried another pair of G.Skill 3200Mhz 8Gx2, still in 2733 MHz, no luck.
I don’t know is it a CPU’s problem due to the first gen Zen architecture or due to the MB failure. What should I do to make it run at a higher frequency?
Thanks for any answer in advance!

Hello @Hydr0ne
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please provide your current BIOS version and the part number of the installed memory? Is the memory listed in the motherboard's QVL?
Regarding the overclocking settings in the BIOS, are you using DOCP I, DOCP II, or any other advanced configurations?
Based on your description, the issue of failing to pass POST and experiencing a boot loop only occurs when enabling memory overclocking settings. However, does this issue not occur when using the BIOS default settings?
Have you tried manually overclocking the memory instead of applying the preset overclocking parameters?
For further discussions, please refer to Memory Kits - Overclocking and What You May Not Know. And we also have a dedicated section for overclocking discussions, "Overclocking & Tweaking." If you would like this thread to be moved there for more relevant discussions and visibility, please let me know.
Thank you.
