Where is BIOS chip on X670E-A Gaming Wifi?

Hi everyone,

I have a ROG STRIX X670E-A GAMING WIFI which is currently stuck on BOOT led, it appears to be sending signal to display but no image at all(because my display does not enter on stand-by or "no signal" message), so I think the BIOS might be corrupted somehow. I bought a new BIOS chip on the internet to give a try making my motherboard alive again, but I have no idea where this chip is located physically on motherboard to replace it, and I cannot find anywhere showing this chip.

Anyone knows where is the BIOS chip located on motherboard?

Hello @joojvitor

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the Q-LED indicator remaining on BOOT, this suggests that the system cannot identify the boot drive or that there is an issue with the drive preventing the system from booting up.
We recommend referring to the [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators for guidance.
Besides testing other SSD slots or system drives, you can remove all peripherals, leaving only the CPU, CPU fan, RAM, and PSU, and see if the system can boot into BIOS. Additionally, verify if there is a need for a BIOS update and clearing CMOS before reassessing the situation.
For repairs, we advise against attempting any DIY fixes. If repairs are needed, please contact your retailer or local service team in your region to arrange for a repair.

Thank you.

Hi @Jiaszzz_ROG,

I've already tried every possible troubleshoot, like testing another SSD, did clear cmos for hours, or test any other part from another system. I already bought a new motherboard and it runs well with my current components, so the problem is for sure on the motherboard. I'm betting on the bios chip, because I got this motherboard from China, it is still on its warranty, but I can't claim it because it is not from my country, as the local ASUS service team told me.

I found! It is below the M.2 slot, you need to remove the screws and remove the thermal pad placement.

1. Remove this:

2. There is it:
