ASUS told me I had to go through the retailer which makes no sense to me as everyone else I've sent directly to them. I thought it was weird when wanting to open up an RMA and they asked me to send everything including the box and accessories.... So I hope I get them all back? However I just feel like I'm going to be screwed by the retailer here.
My PC stopped working, it was in a case and I didn't touch it. I opened up a return and sent everything I had back to the retailer and they tell me there is board damage and are speaking to ASUS and showed me a picture. Now I remember there being a mark on the edge of the board from new and a little white strand hanging out, but that's just where they split the boards apart in manufacturing. The picture they showed me looks like someone has pried on it and rubbed some of the silkscreen off the edge but it never looked like this when I sent it. Like what did they do get a file to it or something?
So I think I'm being screwed here and I want to send it to ASUS to test because I'm not sure if that would stop the board from working? Or if they did some damage to it and then are blaming me to get out of the warranty. Who do I have to speak to about this at ASUS? Cause literally it just stopped working in it's case and now they're trying to claim I've damage it.

Ok I'm waiting to hear if ASUS reject my RMA, speaking to the retailer they send it to the supplier and the supplier said this. It's a super zoomed in photo that shows up dust that I couldn't even seen with my naked eye. So this "damage" looks way worse than it would zoomed out, so I want a photo of that. Cause that is on the very edge, there isn't any copper and it just looks like the silkscreen is lifting off. I cannot tell from that photo as it looks like someone has taken a file to the edge of the board..... But it might just be the light making it look like that. However if I see a photo zoomed out and it's as obvious as that then I know they did that to my board as I looked all over it before I sent it. I have some photos of my own so if I don't get the same board back I'll know.
So I'll message back when I get a reply, but even though I know whatever that is didn't stop it from working....Because I just went to power it on one day and it wouldn't post and it was in a case, nothing touched it. So I want someone to test the board to see the actual problem before they start claiming some superficial "damage" is the cause, which I'm pretty positive seeing a photo zoomed out, I can say it probably came like that as I recognise the white marks from out of the packet.
