Warning water leak detected for system safety system will shut down in 5 seconds

I have a build with a ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme Glacial.
It always worked fine with a i9 13900K CPU.

It has been working since more than one year without problems.

To avoid problems with the notorious 13th generation problem I updated the BIOS to 3701 and later to 3802.

The system beacame instable with a lot of restarts with no clear root cause.
I have monitored Ts and seen no problems.

So I wrote to Intel, thinking the problem was that I installed the BIOS too late and the CPU was defective.

I had to manage a RMA for the CPU, didsassembling completely my build and reassembling it with the new CPU (Now a i9 14900K).

At the first start I got the message in object.

The system was showing the message and then restarting from zero in an infinite loop.
In reality there were no leaks at all.

So I let the pump run one night, just to be sure there were no air bubbles in the system.

The day after the system started regularly, no problems at all. But it was the only time.

When I tried to turn it again after that time, it always shows me the message and turn off (this time without restarting).

It is even impossible to reach the BIOS.
How can I manage this ?
My doubt is that the problem is with the BIOS update and I changed a working processor!

I also tried to disconnect the WB_SENSOR (I read for someone it worked) but I still get the message and restarts

Hello @andgatto69

Thank you for reaching out to us, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delayed reply.
Could you please confirm if rolling back to BIOS version 3701 or re-flashing version 3802 and clearing CMOS makes any difference?
After attempting to boot, aside from the error message, are there any other Q-codes or Q-LED indicators that show up?
We recommend following the ROG MAXIMUS Z690 EXTREME GLACIAL user manual to ensure all hardware components are properly connected, including checking for bent CPU pins and ensuring that the cooling system-related connectors (OLED_CON, MXTLED_CON1, WB_SENSOR, WB_ADD, etc.) are correctly installed.

If the issue persists, please help us by confirming the relevant details and sharing a video following the steps below to help us better understand your situation:
1) Begin recording, show the installation status of the motherboard and all hardware components
2) Clearing CMOS then press the power button to check if the system boots.
3) Record any error messages shown on the screen.
4) Capture the error codes or Q-LED indicators displayed on the motherboard when the system fails to boot.
5) Record any additional troubleshooting steps or observations before end recording.
- the brand and model name of the GPU, RAM (part number and installed slots as well), SSD/HDD, and PSU currently installed
- are there any extensions or adapters used to connect any devices, such as GPU or SSD?
- the OS version and OS build

Thank you.
