Unable to boot EXPO on Rog Strix X670e-e

MMORA43
Level 9

Hello

I still have these problems

Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix X670e-e

BIOS version: 2506 - AMD AGESA ComboAm5PI 1.2.0.2a

Processor: Ryzen 9 7950X

RAM: DDR5-6000 2x32gb Corsair Vengeance CMK64GX5M2B6000Z40

I can't get the EXPO I / EXPO II / EXPO TWEAKED profile to work, I have tried absolutely everything and the PC does not start above 5200 MHz.

Any solution?

Hello MMORA43

Do you have your memory installed in the recommended slots, A2-B2 (2nd & 4th slots from the cpu)?

Yes, 2nd and 4th

Ok, very good.

Have you tried resetting the bios to defaults and enabling only EXPO?

To reset to defaults, in the bios hit the F5 key.

Hi Nate152

Sure, I did and that happens

Ok,

This is a sign of instability and that your cpu's memory controller isn't up to the task.

Try again, this time adjust some voltages. I'm not too familiar with AMD motherboards, but try this.

1) Reset the bios to defaults.

2) Enable EXPO.

3) Scroll down and set Dram VDD voltage to 1.40v.

4) Set Dram VDDQ voltage to 1.40v.

5) Set SOC voltage to 1.25v.

At the bottom of the Ai Tweaker page click Advanced Memory Voltages (If you have it).

6) Set IVR Transmitter VDDQ to 1.40v.

7) Set Memory Controller voltage to 1.40v.

8: Hit F10 and Enter to save and exit.

Does this get you booting with EXPO enabled?

Still not working

All right, keep those voltages and try with a lower frequency.

You said you were able to boot at 5200MHz, does the adjusted voltages let you go higher than 5200MHz?

I don't understand absolutely anything.

I have hit Restore defaults (F5), I have selected EXPO I, I have changed it to Frequency of 6600 Mhz to see what would happen and... SURPRISE!

My Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 2x32gb with EXPO guaranteed at 6000 turns out that it does not start the PC but it does at 6600

WTF!

Simply...

I don't understand anything at all
