Asus products are a SCAM! Especially their high end Crosshair series and higher. These products do not receive updates but their lower stack products (Strix and below) do.

EG: X570 Crosshair series and up still having outdated drivers but the Strix and below have new drivers. This trickles down all the way to the B350 and X370.

Furthermore, Armoury Crate is hot garbage but you somehow need it for lighting and whatnot.

Sonic Studio and Radar are also hot garbage. These don't even receive any updates at all! The login feature in SS3 is broken and the app has problems detecting other apps and does not switch to the correct profile/eq. SS3 also mostly crashes games. There is also possible to download a latest version (if any) on any of Asus's websites.

Realtek audio console also does not receive any updates and is completely useless compared to when it was Audio Manager.

Asus has the audacity to charge a premium for their hardware but fails to support it. No point having premium hardware when it's backed by ******ty outdated drivers and software. If you are not going to support a product, please don't make it!

What was once a highly well regarded brand, has now become worse than small brands coming from China. Probably never buying Asus components ever again.

Hello @Cyrus_de_Vyrs,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the drivers available on the official website, please note that they are released only after thorough testing to ensure optimal compatibility and stability. As a result, the release process might be slightly slower compared to drivers published by Microsoft or other generic sources.
May we ask if you are experiencing any issues specifically with the ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO drivers, Armoury Crate, or any other related software?
If you could provide more detailed information about your hardware and software specifications, along with a description of the issue, its frequency, or even a video demonstrating the problem, it would help us in further investigation or providing tailored guidance.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Does not answer why the higher end of the Asus product stack does not get updates when the lower end does. Shouldn't the updates/update process start from the higher end of the product stack then trickle down the lower end? If not then, what's the point of purchasing the higher end of the product stack aside from the feature set if it gets even less support than lower product stack.

Yes I am and I have mentioned them but here's the details.

Sonic Studio 3 (SS3) - refuses to login giving the error (Unexpected error. Please try again later). And thats logging in with my Asus Webstorage account. I can however login to the Asus Webstorage site in a browser with the same email and password just fine. SS3 doesnt detect Chrome as an application. It also doesnt really work when it is open but minimized into the tray or taskbar.Screenshot 2025-01-02 234055.png

The Realtek audio console cannot be found in the MS Store and has to be Googled. It is also useless especially when using an optical connection. It provides ZERO functionality, no EQ or anything whatsoever.

Then comes the outdated drivers - Wifi, Bluetooth, Audio, Chipset Sata.

Armoury Crate seems to be the only thing that is up to date.

Asus is by far the slowest and probably the last when it comes to driver/BIOS updates.

Anyways my hardware is a Ryzen 5800x, Asus X570 Crosshair Dark Hero motherboard.

Windows version currently Win 11 24H2 but all those problems were from Win 11 23H2 or earlier.

I love how Asus just ignores stuff. 👍

This is a public forum dude. There's only one or two representatives per category. Maybe go through official channels? X570 is EOL so they have to prioritise I imagine. Plus who wants to respond to someone who uses terms like "hot garbage" Maybe learn how to talk.
