I just changed my motherboard to a X870-F but now it won't even detect that my ethernet cable is already plugged in. I downloaded the Intel I226V controller from armoury crate but it still says that my cable isnt plugged in. I also tried connecting the cable to my strix laptop & its working just fine, so the cable & router are not the problem.
Does anyone know how to fix this pls? my internet run so slow without using ethernet

I am having the same issue. This problem started after I moved my PC from my upstairs office to my downstairs office. Same thing if I hook up the ethernet cable to my second pc it works fine when I plug that same cable into the X870 the port does nothing. I checked the settings, and they say the port is disconnected. I have tried every fix I can find on the internet, but nothing seems to work.
checked bios the port is enabled.
checked device manager everything is up to date and running. I am at a loss at this point.

I'm running into the same problem with my X870-A board where I've tested different cables, but the ethernet port just won't recognize the cable. I've tested the cable to make sure it works on my old PC and sure enough it's just fine; the driver is the Intel 226I.
I've tried clearing CMOS, updating BIOS, checking BIOS that ethernet is enabled, & device manager. I've had to purchase an Ethernet to USB-C adapter to connect directly to my apartment's ethernet port.

I have the same problem on my X870-A. I tried booting to Linux as well but that also showed no network - so it's either the NIC has failed or there is something fundamentally wrong! It USED to work which is very strange. Given I have no lights showing on the card, I am thinking it's a hardware failure of some kind.

OK. this has been reported elsewhere as well - but I got the card to work again by COMPETELY removing power - i.e removing the power cord. Just shutting the server down didn't work. After competely removing power for a short time and restarting it is OK again.
