A few days ago, something very strange happened to me for the first time, a strange bad smell appeared from the computer for a few minutes, then disappeared.
Is it possible that something on the motherboard is causing this?
In the forum here I saw that there are people with laptops complaining about the same thing
The computer works normally, Intel Core i9 13900k in tests at 100% load it does not keep the high speeds constantly but between 4.8 and up to 5.8, which I do not know if this is normal.
With the OCCT application under CPU load I reach speeds of 4860 mhz but nothing in the upper limits of a 1 minute test.
I hope that one of the phases on the motherboard is not defective after so many voltage games between processor and motherboard manufacturers.
On Intel Diagnostic Tool, the p-cores mostly run at 5.2 and drop to 4.8, and when starting each subsequent process or test, they reach their maximum speed.
I hope all this is in order and there is no problem.
Cinebench R23 multicore score 36106, maximum 36899 on Intel default profile.
The worrying thing is that the speeds are not constant, only when starting a new scene they increase to the maximum.
When starting Armoury for example, I immediately see speeds of 5500 Mhz

Hi!
The smell could have come from the power supply. I faced such a problem. Write the model and power of your power supply. Which video card is installed in your computer?

Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 11 750w platinum
GPU is old, ASUS GTX 1050 TI STRIX OC

The power supply is good and powerful they could not overload it. Maybe just varnish burned on some hotter elements. If everything works fine, then you don't have to worry, but in general it is certainly alarming.

It's hard for me to determine even after testing.
On Cinebench R23 on multicore score around 36100 / 36700
On Blender 4.3.0 486
On Geekbench 3051 single and 20467 multi
On OCCT still at 100% processor load I have a speed of 4.8, processor + ram 5.2, on Geekbench it's solid 5.5 and 5.8 on turbo
In games I have some fluctuation in fps but the gpu is old and ... We're probably talking about a bottleneck

Well...
I talked to them on the phone, they said that according to them there are no problems
They will have to send the motherboard to the Czech Republic because here they said that there is nothing they can do about this case or find it because it has already happened
If you, as a manufacturer, insist, I will do it.
Now the holidays are coming, and it will take even longer.
The motherboard is currently working and there is no problem.
It's possible that it's the power supply, and in the end the motherboard is healthy and I'm just wasting time
No more signs of smell
There is some minimal fluctuation in FPS during games, but it could be from Linux
If a similar problem occurs again, I will send it directly.
I think this is the wisest decision.
