SSD M.2 Really slow speed (5000 Mbps READ / 200 Mbps Write)

hi,

My motherboard is a Asus TUF B650 PLUS with a Ryzen 7600X and a 7900 GRE. PSU 850W Gold

I'm encountering problems with my SSD, i have an MSI Spatium M461 1 TB , M.2 , nvme , rated read speed 5000 and write 4200. but my writting speed is between 100 and 250 mbps sometimes, is not even close to the 4200mbps rated by the manufacturer.

I have reinstalled the system, wiped all the partitions, and same problem. With the fresh install, it works well, 5200/000, but after installing drivers, steam, games etc, it drops to 200 mbps, like something is wrong with a driver or any incompatibility isue.

Temps are ok , between 40 and 47º in tests.

Disk is almost empty, 20%.

Bios is updated.

Any solution to this?

thank you

Hello @NikoCF

Thank you for reaching out to us, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delayed reply.
Based on your description, are you experiencing an SSD write speed drop issue that only occurs after installing drivers, games, and other software, but the system works correctly on a fresh installation?
Which M.2 slot are you using for the SSD, and have you used any extension cables or adapters, or cross-tested with other slots?
For the TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI, the M.2_3 slot shares bandwidth with PCIEX16_2, so please ensure that no shared bandwidth is causing the slowdown.

Meanwhil, may I ask if you have installed the latest drivers from the TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI support page, checked that the SSD firmware is up to date, or cleared CMOS after updating BIOS?
Please also ensure that there are no potential restrictions in the power plan > advanced power settings.

Thank you.
