Sata/NVME deactivation

Hi,

I am setting up a system with 3 different drives (1 SSD + 2 NVME M2) on a ROG x670e-e. My intention is to have a win11 installation on each drive to have a multi boot system.

I have done a similar set up in the past on another rig and in order to keep the 3 OS fully separated I have physically disconnected them in turn while installing each OS.

what I would like to know now is if on my current MB there is a BIOS option to deactivate drives (sata and M2) so that I can install OS on each drive without physically disconnecting the others.

thanks

ezio

Hello, @eziocin

According to the ROG STRIX X670E Series BIOS Manual ( English Edition ), you can disable specific SATA ports in the "SATA Configuration" section.

However, there is no disable function for M.2 NVME SSD; there is only the Secure Erase feature, which allows you to format the drive in the BIOS.

Thank you.
