ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi - Red CPU, White VGA, Green Boot LEDs

This is a new build. The GPU doesn't output video, and the CPU doesn't have onboard graphics. I updated the bios to 2103 and reset the CMOS. This is the second MB I've tried (the same model). I returned the first one, thinking it may have been defective.

CPU: Intel 14900KF

GPU: RTX 3080ti and RTX 3060

32gb memory

1000 watt PSU

The boot failure was most likely because there was no OS loaded.  My biggest issue was that I could not get video from the graphics card.  I bought a second motherboard thinking that I may have gotten a bad board.  I had the same issue on the 2nd motherboard as well.  I then returned both boards and bought the Tuf Gaming motherboard and it worked without an issue.  It appears there was something with the motherboard that wasn't cooperating.  The TUF gaming mobo worked without an issue.  BTW, I updated the Strix mobo BIOS but that did not help.  The graphics card is an MSI 3080TI.

I thinik the CPU was in backwards.  Now just getting the Amber boot LED.  I've reset the CMOS.  No video.

Hello, @buster4483

May I ask if the mentioned "Amber boot LED" indicates the Q-LED indicator that identifies abnormal Boot Device detection when it fails to boot up?
If so, we recommend referring to the corresponding steps in [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators and consulting the ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI manual to ensure all hardware, including SSDs and HDDs, is correctly installed.
If necessary, you can perform a bare-board test:
In a insulated environment, remove the chassis, install the CPU, a single RAM module in the DIMM_A2 slot, the GPU, and the PSU.
Please avoid using any extension cables or adapters to connect the GPU during the test, and no SSDs or HDDs should be connected at this time.
If it is able to successfully boot into BIOS, kindly verify the proper installation of SSDs or HDDs or cross-test with another system disk.

Thank you.
