Hello everyone,
Recently, I built a PC based on a ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi II motherboard, I have a problem with the fast charging, the front USB Type C.
When I connect any smart phone to it, the USB Wattage watcher pops up and say the fast charging is off, and then the connection with the phone and the watcher app start hiccups.
I did try both "enabled" and "auto" options inside BIOS settings (USB Type C Power) and nothing changed.
Is there any setting or something in Windows, Armoury Crate, AI Suite, BIOS, etc to turn it on? What would be the cause of this issue?

Hi @SMAH1997 did you also install the Power Delivery Firmware update from the support page under BIOS?

Hello, @SMAH1997
May I ask if your current BIOS version is the latest version 1301 released on May 30, 2024?
What brand and model are your connected PSU and phone device? Is the connection via the original cable or using a USB hub?
Is the description of "Enable USB type-C power" the following BIOS settings?
For power settings, we recommend referring to [Windows 11/10] Change Power mode and plan to check for any power management restrictions.
Thank you.

Hello, @Jiaszzz_ROG
Thanks for stopping by
Yes, I have updated my BIOS version to 1301, I downloaded the file directly from the page of this motherboard on the Asus website.
My PSU is Green GP1200B-OCPT, a high-quality overclocking ready device that provides 1200 watts of power and has the 80 plus platinum certification.
The phone I tested once and had this problem, was a Xiaomi Poco X2 (Redmi K30) which is charged with 30 watts of power.
Later, I tested it with a Samsung phone that the charging power was 15W, It had three or four hiccups and then started charging with 12-13 watts of power.
I connected the phones directly to the front panel of my case, which is a Green Striker, using a USB type C-type C cable, and the cables I used each time was a good one.
Also I re-checked my BIOS settings, the USB type C power mode is auto, and the S5 state mode is enabled.
And about my windows power plan, I've set it at High-Performance settings, and didn't see any restrictions of charging, etc.
