Hello @whenwewereyoung
Thank you for reaching out to us. May I ask if you are still experiencing the two issues mentioned?
Regarding Issue 1:
During the boot process, do you notice any RGB lighting effects on the ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI II?
Is it possible that the Dark mode is enabled in Armoury Crate?
If uninstalling Armoury Crate using the uninstall tool, reinstalling it, and fully updating the items in the update center, does the issue improve?
If not, could you kindly share an image of the "LED EC Version" from the BIOS main page?
Regarding Issue 2:
From your description, are you encountering issues during the BIOS update process via EZ Flash?
We recommend referring to [Motherboard] ASUS EZ Flash 3 - Introduction to confirm the steps are correct and ensure using a single sector USB flash drive formatted in FAT 16/32 with 1GB or more of storage space.
Additionally, since ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI II supports, please try updating via the USB BIOS FlashBack if needed.
Thank you.

Hello thank you for your reply. Issue 2 (updating the BIOS) has been solved now with your steps, thank you! Regarding issue 1: in the BIOS the stealth mode are not activated so it should be on. Furthermore, in Armoury Crate I hjave selected different effects that work on my ROG Strix 4090 graphics card but the mainboard stays off. Armoury Crate has been uninstalled and updated to the most recent version but this does not help with this problem.

Hello @whenwewereyoung
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delayed response. May I ask if your first issue is still occurring?
If so, could you share a screenshot of the BIOS main page, specifically to confirm the information related to the 'LED EC Version'?
Additionally, please help us verify whether the ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI II’s RGB lights up during the boot process or if it remains dark during shutdown, startup, and while the system is running.
Thank you.

Hello @karl6774
I apologize for not fully understanding Italian, and I primarily rely on translation software for assistance.
There may be differences in the parameters applied after updating the BIOS, but I'm not quite sure what issue you are currently experiencing that requires a restart.
We recommend ensuring that the currently installed memory is listed in the motherboard's QVL, and also refer to the user manual to verify that the hardware is installed correctly.
For updating the BIOS via USB, please refer to the steps and video in [Motherboard] How to use USB BIOS FlashBack™?
Thank you.

thanks for the answer but I would like to know how to save the bios settings on a USB stick as it seems to save them but then checking the stick is empty

Hello @karl6774
We recommend checking if your USB drive is a single sector USB flash drive formatted in FAT16/32 MBR format with a capacity of more than 1 GB.
Please make sure to extract the downloaded update files and rename them to the.CAP format using BIOSRenamer.
If necessary, try cross-testing with different USB drives.
Thank you.

Ciao a tutti,
Grazie mille.

Hello @karl6774
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the situation you described, it's common for boot times to increase after a BIOS update. This can happen due to new parameter adjustments and potential memory retraining.
We recommend that you first clear CMOS, boot with the default BIOS settings, and continue to monitor the changes during usage.
Also, it seems the issue you mentioned may not be related to this discussion thread, so please try to avoid posting about different topics in the same comments to prevent any confusion.
Thank you.
