ROG STRIX Z790-E WIFI USB firmware needed?

Hello,
I have a brand new PC (specification below) with a warning on the USB hub.
The ONLY plugged-in USB device is the Logitech dongle receiver for mouse & keyboard combo.
No other USB devices are connected.

I noticed that for the Z790-E WIFI II motherboard there is a USB firmware update:

I hope Asus releases a dedicated firmware update also for the WIFI I version because I am 99% sure that the warning I am experiencing is coming by the USB firmware.

This is the PC configuration:
- CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF
- MBO: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, 24GB, 420W (Asus TUF OC)
- RAM: 64GB (2x 32GB Kit) DDR5-6000 CL30, G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB
- SSD: 1TB Samsung 990 Pro, M.2 PCIe 4.0
- PSU: 1000W ASUS ROG Strix Gold Aura
- FAN: Corsair iCUE LINK H170i RGB, AIO
- External monitor: LG UltraWide 38WN95CP-W (3840x1600, 38") with DisplayPort cable

Hello, @kalo86

Apart from the yellow exclamation mark, may I ask if there are any other abnormalities, such as USB devices not functioning?
We recommend referring to the troubleshooting steps outlined in "How to fix yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager.

Thank you.

Hello @Jiaszzz_ROG,

All USB ports are working properly. I also unplugged the cables which connects the USB ports of the front panel to the motherboard. I wanted to exclude that there is a malfunctioning of the front panel USB ports, but the warning is still there.

I also unplugged the Corsair Link Hub of the AIO cooling system. Again, the warning ⚠ is still there.

I did more: I entered in BIOS and disabled the Thunderbolt support, onboard WiFi & Bluetooth, LAN Ethernet, Audio. At the reboot in Windows 11, the warning ⚠ is still present.

I am always more convinced that there is a firmware issue.

Dear @Jiaszzz_ROG ,

Please notice that the warning is not listed on the group "Other devices". It's not a matter of missing driver or unrecognized hardware.
The warning is on the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" group, the story is different and I'm here to ask more deep analysis, not solutions which are already listed on the Web.

Before writing this post I ensured that I installed all the drivers, updated Windows 11, updated BIOS, I made all the possible to isolate this issue. To be 100% sure I also formatted the SSD and installed Windows 11 from zero. The issue is reproduced always.
I removed the selective USB suspension, tried disabling WiFi, Bluetooh, Audio, Thunderbolt from Bios --> Nothing!

I need technical support and most probably a new USB firmware because this is a clear "bug" in the system.

Hello @kalo86 ,
It might help customer service agents if you specify what's plugged into it, if anything at all.

Nothing is plugged in, except for the Logitech USB receiver for the mouse & keyboard combo.

Hello, @kalo86

Based on your description, we recommend trying to restore the system or cross-testing with another system disk.
If needed, please refer to [Windows 11/10] How to reset the PC.
Since you've recently made the purchase, if the above steps don't help resolve the issue, please consider reaching out to the retailer for assistance with post-purchase support.

Thank you.

Hello @Jiaszzz_ROG,

Yesterday I formatted the SSD, installed Windows 10 and the issue is present.
Formatted again to install Windows 11 Pro because the nature of the issue is not due to the software/drivers.
This is a clear hardware fault.
Asus technical support confirmed it and now I need to wait Mifcom (the PC reseller) for the replacement procedure of the motherboard.
