Current config - NEW BUILD

OS: NONE;

MB: ROG STRIX z790-A WiFi II

CPU: i9-14900k

RAM: Corsair Veng. 5200

PSU: Be Quite Dark Power 13 1K.

GPU: still working off on board till get OS installed.

HDs: 2x 890PRO M.2 samsung, 1 x 8XX samsung

BIOS: 1801

Initial boot, all drives appeared, all RAM etc.. Happy machine.. Intel RAID options didn't appear, roboot, options were available. created RAID0 from the 2 890 (matched pair). Now cannot see the RAID0 DISK as a boot option in BIOS? Did BIOS reset that put me back in a legacy info screen, that showed the RAID0 disk, but in EUFI  I cant see the R-DISK, except in the intel utility (advanced\intel blah blah).  Lots of post on CSM and VDM.. CSM is disabled, Cant figure out where VDM is? In the "storage" area, the config starts with  M.2-4, 1-3 are occupied with HDs listed above. I have a feeling its a ACHI/SATA issue, but cant find that in the (advance page)

Hello @doc91b2p

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on your description, could you confirm whether the RAID you have set up or the additional drive includes a completed system installation?
When CSM is disabled, the system can only boot in UEFI mode. If no UEFI-compatible boot device is available, no boot options will be displayed, as UEFI mode does not show legacy BIOS boot devices.
We recommend following the steps outlined in the FAQs below to ensure there are no missing or incorrect configurations:
[Motherboard] How to create Intel 600 or 700 series MB RAID in BIOS Setup
[Motherboard] How to install Windows 11
[Motherboard] How to set the boot device priorities on the motherboard
If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process or have any further questions, please provide details such as the current connections of your three HDDs on the motherboard, relevant screenshots, and a description of your situation, which will help us better understand your issue.

Thank you.
