Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out because I've been experiencing an audio issue with my ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI II motherboard, specifically regarding the microphone input.
While the sound output is crystal clear and works perfectly, I've noticed that the microphone input is extremely low, even with all settings maxed out at 100%. I've attached a screenshot for reference. "The settings surrounded in red do not change anything when modified, while those in blue make a difference."
I've tried adjusting the microphone amplification, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the overall volume. It's quite frustrating as it makes communication difficult during online meetings and gaming sessions.
I've checked all the drivers and made sure they are up to date, but the issue persists. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem or have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
Your help and insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hello, @Aiur
Regarding the software, could you confirm if your Realtek Audio Driver version is the latest one, V6.3.9600.2368, released on October 12, 2023? Have you tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it?
Apart from Realtek Audio Control, is the sound input configuration for audio in Windows set correctly? Have you used "Troubleshoot" to check for microphone issues?
Additionally, could you provide the current BIOS version?
Concerning the headphone connection, are you using the GSA506 or GSA505 cable, and is it connected to the front panel of the case or the rear panel of the ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI II?
Have you attempted cross-testing different ports and ensuring a proper connection?
