CPU: 13900K
MB: ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming Wifi
Memories: Gskill Trident Z5 5600 Mhz
OS: Windows 11 Pro (Updated)
When I plug a USB Disk or Flash Disk into any of the USB ports (Front-Back) of the motherboard, it does not see or recognize any of them. I see the flash disks on the BIOS screen and can even update the BIOS, but I cannot access the data under Windows. There are other desktop and notebook computers in the office. All the flash disks and USB disks I have tried work without any problems on these computers. I can see the disks on the Device Manager and Disk Management
Steps I have tried so far to solve the problem:
- I tried separately as Fat 32 and NTFS on the flash disks, the situation is the same.
- I installed a clean Windows 11 Pro and nothing changed. (All Windows updates and Drivers are up to date)
- I updated the motherboard's BIOS version
On the Disk management i get this screen.

Hello @SapphireTR
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please clarify what software or hardware changes occurred before this issue happened? Have you already tried using different USB storage devices? Apart from the inability to access the USB flash drive, are there any issues when using other USB devices, such as a USB mouse or keyboard?
We recommend clearing CMOS to reset the I/O ports and boot with default settings.
Please also try testing in Safe Mode and refer to [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - USB Functionality Issues if needed.
If you can connect other USB devices and update the BIOS, but the USB storage device still isn’t recognized, please share the following:
- the scenario and frequency (e.g., any system overheating or use of multiple hubs or docks)
- the specifications and model of the USB storage devices tested
- the PSU, RAM model and part number, and two .txt files generated in your Windows system via the steps below:
1.Press the WIN+R keys on the keyboard to open the command window
2.Key in: dxdiag → OK
3.Click [Save All Information]
4.Select the save location and click [Save]
Same steps, replace the command line in step 2 with: msinfo32
5.Key in: msinfo32 → OK → and save the txt file.
You may upload the files to cloud storage, grant access, and share a link with us for further investigation.
Thank you.

- No any hardware or software changes happened. Only Windows and Asus MB driver updates.
- All other USD devices (mouse, keyboard, printer) are working properly.
- Yes i tried USD Hard Drive and not working again.
- I updated the BIOS for the last one.
- Last of all i plugged off my Samsung ssd( windows 11 pro in it) and installed an other nvme ssd (windows 10 pro in it) and all the problems gone. No drivers were installed.
Then i formatted the samsung ssd (windows 11 pro) it was ok and flash disks were working but when i updated all the windows files and Asus drivers the problem came again.

Mucha suerte.
