Hi Folks,
MB: X670e-f Gaming Wifi
CPU: AMD 9800x3D (not OC)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 600mhz CL 30 (CMK64GX5M2B6000Z30)
BIOS: was running fine with 2506 for 1 month and intense gaming/benchmarking
I made NO changes to my Rig whatsoever after 1 month of gaming with zero issues.
Today PC would not boot and i got Post failure message to get into bios. I found out EXPO was not working anymore and had to be RAM Issue. I loaded default settings and PC booted normal with RAM running 4800mhZ.
I then played games, all normal. I wanted my RAM back to EXPO and 6000mHz so i thought its a good idea to update to BIOS.
Back to bios using EZ Flash inside BIOS and when i clicked YES to update the PC shutdown and instant crashed. Would not boot afterwards.
I then cleared CMOS and used Bios Flash Back on backside of PC.
Now PC is not starting, all fans running, LED shows constant GREEN for Boot.
- i removed CMOS battery, repeated bios install with old 2506
- i removed RAM and put it back in
PC would not start anymore screen stays black.
Did i just waste my Mainboard because Update crashed and i had faulty RAM? The system was stable after i built it one month ago.

Hello @bashlor
Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for the delayed response due to a public holiday in our region and any inconvenience this may have caused.
If you are experiencing boot issues with the BOOT Q-LED, we recommend first removing all SSDs, HDDs, and all storage devices to check whether you can power on and pass POST to enter the BIOS.
Additionally, please refer to the guidelines in [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators for further troubleshooting steps.
Regarding the BIOS update, we suggest following the steps outlined in [Motherboard] How to use USB BIOS FlashBack™? to attempt updating to version 2704 again. Please note that BIOS FlashBack and EZ Flash are different BIOS update methods.
If you have concerns about RAM compatibility, in addition to testing with a single module installed in DIMM_A2, please also consider cross-testing with memory from the ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI QVL , as CMK64GX5M2B6000Z30 is not listed.
Thank you.
