Another buggy broken BIOS update. I have the ROG x670E ELITE, with a x7950, and 98GB of 6000MT/s DDR5 DRAM, with 5 M.2 PCIe NVME drives, 3 Gen 4 PCIe and 2 Gen PCIe 5. And a 4090 RTX.
Downloaded and applied this BIOS update from 2007 to 2124, and firstly the BIOS screen is skipped every time so I cant even get it to change any options.
Then Windows 10 has its "System" process taking up 10% in the Process Manager, and only showing 8 cores.
I did a reboot, re-applied the BIOS etc and same behaviour.
So I had to reset the CMOS just to get to the BIOS, and apply the previous BIOS 2007 to restore windows 10 behaviour to normal (background processes running at 1% in Process Manager (with AV off)).
Before I buy a 9950 can someone fix the BIOS.

I had a different behavior. I have the Rog Crosshair 670E Extreme and my PC keeps rebooting and shows LED flashing. It rebooted about 10 times until I finally shut it off and flashed back to the previous firmware. I tried again the same thing happened.

You did not mention if you loaded BIOS defaults after updating BIOS. Loading BIOS defaults is mandatory for every BIOS update, as previously saved values are mostly not compatible with new BIOS values.
I suggest updating BIOS inside BIOS flash utility + loading BIOS defaults and then manually changing values one by one. You cannot load older saved BIOS values to new BIOS. And never update BIOS from Windows.

I've dirty flashed more times than I can count with no issues and when I have a problem I load default and make my changes. However, with this firmware, I don't get that far. I get the same as Cisco76 bios updating Led firmware and it boot loops.

ok. I tried this way and nothing. Always in Led loop. In addition there is no way to detect the integrated audio. I thought I would return

I successfully updated to 2124 with no issues, no LED loop, nothing. I put 2124 on a USB stick. Then booted into BIOS and loaded default settings. Saved and restarted. Went back into BIOS and updated to 2124 from the USB stick. It went thru the progress bar, rebooted and applied BIOS updates, LED updates, etc... then took me to a setup screen where it allowed me to go into BIOS again to apply any tweaks.

I'll try your steps and report back

I’ve tried your steps and still end up boot looping. I chatted with an Asus tech and was told to stay on 2007 until they release an updated bios.

Hello, @marcusob72
Could you please confirm if "fast boot" is set to [Disable] in the BIOS settings, and did clearing CMOS resolve the issue?
May I ask if you updated the BIOS with EZ Flash or BIOS FlashBack?
If you follow the steps in [Motherboard] How to update BIOS of the motherboard? (Include different generation CPU) flash the latest version 2124 again and clear CMOS, does the issue of booting straight into the system without entering the BIOS still occur?
During the testing process, we suggest minimizing the connected devices, confirming the issue with only the system drive installed, and disabling all manually overclocking settings.
Thank you.
