Rog Strix B850-I gaming wifi raidxpert2 RAID0 serious issues.

Hi. I own a B850-I gaming wifi with 9950X3D with 96GB ram and 2x 9100PRO.

I've tried every raid driver, every stripe size, every cluster size. No matter what I do. Each time, w11 setup loads rcbottom and rcraid, the system starts to stutter randomly and the freeze lasts for 2s or 3s. Its clearly a fault of the driver or raid controller. If I load, for example HIREn's from a USB I don't have a single glitch.

In w11 setup I load the drivers in this order:
1st RCBOTTOM
2nd RCRAID
3rd RCCFG

What I saw in RAID0 from w11:

Sequential RW about 24GB/s
Random RW (4kB Q32T16) about 1GB/s

What I got from USBw11 in a diskmgmt stripped volume:

Sequential RW 29.5GB/s
Random RW (4kB Q32T16) 10GB/s

There is a HUGE difference in random RW. That is not normal. In a software for measuring delays, during R/W I saw very high IRQ and DPS counts in rcraid.sys storport.sys and wdf01000.sys

The stutter and glitches are produced by system process (PID 4), every time it creates a thread (with different TID number each time), but not all threads it creates freeze the PC. The behavior is always the same: freeze during this misterious thread creation during 2s, after that everything goes normal, after about 30s the thread closes and everything is ready again for a new freeze the next thread creation by PID 4.

This process took me a lot of time. It has been very very time consuming, installing w11 in each stripe size and cluster size testing different situations.

Please, could you tell me your 4k random q32t16 RW? For exampme with CrystaDiskMark??

Thank you very much.

That stutter sounds driver-related — AMD RAID drivers (rcraid.sys) have known latency issues on some X3D setups. Try using the latest RAID package from AMD’s site instead of the one on the ASUS support page, and disable “Storport Event Tracing” in Windows — it often reduces the random freezes.

Thank you. I will try to disable that tracing in the future. BTW is it normal that RW rates with raidxpress2 raid0 in random 4k? 1GB/s is a slug compared to 10~11 GB/s I think I'm not the one in the planet trying this setup. 2 perfect non crossed m.2 ports in pcie5 for blazing fast speeds not working as spected by a driver is sad. Who tests drivers?

I'm happy for winning a lottery with an ultra stable 9950x3d at 2200MHz fclk but sad for this driver related problem.

I would be a good action if everybody with raid0 tells random 4k speeds here.

I buy the raidxpert2 raid0 does not double random 4k speeds compared with a single disk, but reducing it by a factor of  SEVEN? No way, please, could anybody scale this?

How do I get a link to the latest amd raid drivers for this chipset?
