I have just put together the following build:
When I try to turn it on I recieve an orange Q-LED light on MB for RAM. I tried changing the RAM sockets, put just one stick in different sockets, disconnecting any peripherals but it makes no difference.
Has anyone had this issue before ? The RAM I selected is on the QVL list for this MB. I can only conclude the RAM is faulty and RMA it. Apart from this, is there anything else you would suggest?

Hmm it seems your motherboard doesnt have same kind of battery as i do. Look manual there should be advice there or it could be button where your USB and other connections are. Once i thought i applied enough power installing Ram but was wrong :D. Download CPU-Z to see current bios version. Also i think u can install newest bios version without installing previous ones in the bios.

Remove the power cord and take of the battery for the Mb off for 1 min and back on. If it still does not work Erase the RTC RAM. Manual Page 1-15. Also make sure when installing the ram sticks quite a bit force can be used to press them.

Hi HandOfDoom91,
Thanks for the advice. I am struggling to find the CMOS battery on this particular motherboard - I wonder if it's hidden below the SSD heatsink ?
I think I have applied sufficient force for seating the RAM, however the Q-latch does not automatically close for me on either DIMM slot and needs to be closed manually.
Would you know where to find the BIOS version for my motherboard ? There are some numbers on the SSD heatsink, I wonder if that's the BIOS version it came with ? The reason I'm asking is that there have been some BIOS updates to improve memory compatibility since the board was released.

It's working now- just needed to reseat the RAM properly using a bit more force than before. Wish I had done that in the first place before putting the motherboard in the case!
BIOs level is 1003, which seems to cover memory compatibility updates, so will leave it as is, unless I get stability issues.
Windows installed, drivers updated and XMP enabled - so far so good!
Many thanks for your help !
