Unfortunately, I also have the problem with the impedance level on the ROG STRIX B650E-I motherboard and my DROP Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X headphones, as the sound is clearly overdriven.
According to Realtek Audio Control, the impedance level is over 1000 ohms.
When will we finally get a fix for this problem?
And why can't I set the impedance level manually?

Hello @ManInNight
Thank you for reaching out to us.
The ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI supports SupremeFX technology, where the audio driver detects the impedance specifications of the connected device and automatically adjusts the amplification level accordingly.
Therefore, the displayed impedance is not a manually adjusted value, but rather the result of the system detecting the connected device.
Could you please confirm if your headphones are currently connected to the audio output port on the back panel of the motherboard or the chassis?
Based on the image you provided, you can try adjusting the "Plify Stufe" setting to Extreme, or modifying the "Sample Rate and Bit Depth" to see if it improves the audio distortion situation.
Please also check if your motherboard BIOS, audio driver, and headphone firmware are all updated to the latest versions, and then verify if the results are different.
Kindly cross-test with other headphones or connect an amplifier, depending on your requirements if needed.
Thank you.

All drivers and the bios are up to date. Even tweaking the other settings brings only limited improvements.
A quick web search shows that several buyers of this board are having this issue.
When is a fix planned?

Another problem is the RAM, apparently my first RAM was not supported and after enabling the EXPO profile in the BIOS, the BIOS always crashed. After disabling the EXPO profile the problem disappeared, but booting took over a minute.
Now I have bought another explicitly supported RAM KF560C32RSK2-64, this is also detected with the XMP profile without any problems and I no longer have any BIOS crashes, but booting still takes almost a minute.
After doing some research it seems that I am not the only one with this problem. Is there an update planned for this problem also @Jiaszzz_ROG ?

There isn't a problem, what you're describing is memory training. The motherboard will perform this collection of write/read tests to ensure the memory has enough stability margin. Not sure what research you've conducted or what you've read, but memory training is a fundamental requirement of any system, especially when overclocking the memory.
Ensure the memory overclock is stable with a dedicated memory stress test such as Karhu RamTest or TM5.
Once stability is confirmed, you can bypass the majority of POST stress tests by enabling Memory Context Restore within the BIOS.

Hi @ManInNight regarding your impedance issue, what is the exact make and model of the case you are using? Impedance detection is only done on the Front Panel connector. That connector is part of the case as the case provides the HD Audio cable. So what Realtek detects is the sum of HD Audio Cable provided by the case + the voice coil provided resistance. This total is resistance or restriction to test current is what then gets presented as impedance. At least that is my understanding of this feature and I am always open to learn new things.
Looking at the specifications of DROP Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X headset at https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-pc37x-gaming-headset/details#details this headset is rates at 50 Ohms and it comes with a separate plug for Headphone and a separate plug for Microphone. Does your front panel on the case provides your independent plugs to connect this headset or are you using something Sennheiser PCV 05 Headset Adapter https://drop.com/buy/sennheiser-pcv-05-headset-adapter to convert the two plugs into one plug. If you are using an adaptor, what is the exact make and model of this adapter because your adapter will also add to the detected impedance and could be the reason of your problems if you are not using this officially certified adapter for your headset.
Looking forward to your response to get a better understanding of your setup.

Hello @Silent_Scone , switching on Memory Context Restore has solved the problem with the long boot-up time. Thanks for that.
My PC does not have a front speaker connection. The headphones are connected directly to the mainboard. @achugh
