ROG STRIX B650E-E with a USB-C monitor

I have an EVICIV 15.6 inch 4K portable monitor with USB-C DP ALT output support, and I'm trying to work out if any of the ports on this motherboard can be used to connect it to Windows 11. The documentation does not specificaly mention it, and I cannot get it working using the rear I/O USB-C ports. Most likely it doesn't support it, but I wondered if anyone knows for sure and has any suggestions for things I can try if it should work?

Hello, @m0Rg0r

The onboard graphics output of the ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI depends on whether your installed CPU supports it and can only be achieved through DP and HDMI cables for video output.

Thank you.

I am not using the onboard GPU. I was under the impression that on a supported computer, if I plugged in a USB-C monitor to a motherboard USB-C connector, it would use DP ALT to add the monitor as if it was plugged into my NVIDIA 4080 Super via one of its connectors. I guess that isn't right. Never mind, I can run a second cable from the GPU to the monitor, was just trying to reduce it to just the USB-C.
