I purchased a AMD 9800X3D to go with my existing ROG B650 board and had no issues for the first few days. I decided to update the BIOS tonight from 3067 to 3222. The flash went off fine, after reboot I entered the BIOS and changed a couple settings, saved and rebooted. The system hung and would no longer POST, and the CPU/RAM led was orange. I reset the BIOS (is there no easier way then pulling the battery on this board?) and the system would POST again, but it would not reboot successfully after I attempted to save. I tried re-flashing 3222 again, but same thing.
I reverted to 3208 and have no issues. I'm not in a big rush to get on 3222, just wanted to see if anyone else had seen this?

Hello @acasparro
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on the situation you've described, it's possible that some default parameters may have changed after the BIOS update to version 3222. May I ask if you have cleared CMOS after updating the BIOS?
Regarding the POST issue you're experiencing, with the CPU Q-LED showing red and the DRAM Q-LED showing yellow, please refer to [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators for related guidance.
To help us understand your current setup better, could you please provide the part number of the memory modules you have installed and confirm if they are listed on ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI QVL and installed in the slots recommended in the user manual?
You may also try installing a single memory module in the A2 slot after updating to BIOS version 3222 and clearing CMOS before checking if it's able to boot into the BIOS. If needed, please refer to the purchasing and installation guide and consider testing with memory modules listed on the QVL.
Thank you.

The RAM is installed in A2/B2 as instructed by the manual. I gave it another go today and figured out that it does POST, it just takes about 2 minutes. I tried loading optimized defaults and rebooting, same thing. I tried running with just a single stick in A2, same behavior, but interestingly, after putting the 16GB stick back in, the first POST was normal. I tried restarting again just to see if it was really fixed and it went back to the long POST. Back to 3208 I go.
I'm mainly doing this to head off any potential 9800X3D issues like we've been seeing.
